great composition. great lighting. nice work getting down to the floor -- most people take pictures of their kids and pets from their standing-adult height. gotta get down with the little ones.

my only advice is to try hard to focus on your subject's eyes. this is (usually) the most critical thing to have in sharp focus. in this pic, the focus point is on the whiskers. a little further back, and it would be perfecto.

good point about the eyes ed.. will try to keep that in mind.. not always the easiest thing with cats as they are prone to quick movements LOL..
collie.. its actually a cat she is about 9yrs old.. It was taken with my Canon Powershot A75 and just the lens that is part of the camera.
One day i shall be able to afford a DSLR until then my A75 will have to do.. Well that and my.. dare i say it.. Pe**ax(gasp) :-).K1000. film camera.
