I only have a Tamron 28-300 on my 400D and am well pleased with the results. :-)

I used 1/250 with an ISO of 200. Im not sure if this is right myself but like i said it was my first go and im quite pleased.

What was your reason for using 200 over 100 iso? I was using 100 and still struggling with the sunshine. My only advice would be to use a slower shutter to get more motion in the wheels in particular. They are really good for a first time though. Were you using a monopod?
