Had a strange experience. I was cleaning up some G1 photo files on my hard disc and found a corrupted RAW file. The embedded jpeg was o.k. and so my image processing software (Breeze Browser) could produce a thumbnail, but the file wouldn't convert to tif (got an error from the conversion routine). When switched to Yarc, it wouldn't convert it either. Finally I tried an open source converter, it translated but what it got was useless. Does this happen commonly on RAW files, internal jpeg o.k. but file garbled? If this were a common occurence, I might be tempted to switch to jpeg.
