Sometimes the dop preview button doesn't work? i.e. you have the camera set on av, line up the shot, then press the button to have the camera stop down for the preview and nothing happens?

The mannual doesn't really elaborate at all. Anyone else get this problem? Does it only function on certain settings?

on my camera.. the dof p button only works on

m, av, tv, and p modes
If it isn't working in av mode, make shure it isn't set wide open, it won't make any difference then.

Other than that I don't know, My first dreble's button was defective. But it stopped working all together not selectivly.

I think by "make sure it isn't wide open," Stapler123 is referring to your lens.

Make sure it's not wide open! LOL good advice though.

The other thought is to make sure you have a valid (consistent) meter reading.
