Most of my paid gigs in the past have been functions where the client just wants a DVD with the JPEGs on them (corporate, conferences, etc).

However, I have a few weddings lined up this year and need to start thinking about prints. I do not have much experience in this area.

It is my undertsanding that in addition to a couple of shots enlarged and framed, the client usually wants either a traditional album with prints or one of those new coffee table books with the prints on the paper.

Does anybody have experience with companies in Australia that do:

Wedding prints?
Wedding albums?
Coffee table books?Any advice would be much appreciated.

I live in Melbourne and for my prints I go to the biggest store here called Michael's Camera and Video. They use professional grade gloss and matte paper - both of which are gorgeous. You can upload your prints to their website and have them sent to you when they are completed - normally the next business day. The address is www.michaels.com.au. The prices are wrong at the moment because they are working on upgrading the site - the actual prices are cheaper.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I think I will get a couple of test books done and see what the quality is like before talking a client into getting one.

I had the opportunity to see a friends wedding coffee table book and the prints were pretty flat and dull. I am assuming that this was the printing process and not the original images that were the problem.
