Hey guys,
Just wondering how I can quickly convert a batch of RAW files to jpeg.
Anyone know any programs or ways of doing this?
Thanks all,
Nick

UfRAW has UfRAW batch that can be used to batch-convert RAWs to jpegs you can pass parameters to define white balance, exposure and all the details you want for the batch.

OKay I have lightroom, How do i do it?After processing/adjusting the images, switch to the library module, select all the images you want to convert, then hit the EXPORT button at the bottom of the left panel. The export dialogue box pops up and you tell it where to put the converted files and a bunch of other options.

Photoshop Bridge here..instead of exporting you can save all images and get some options of formatting, file name, etc to save them as.

If you want .jpgs which are very nearly identical to in-camera .jpgs, I suggest Zoombrowser's (on your canon CD) Raw Image Task... leave at default settings (increase quality if desired.)
For me DPP always still required a little editing (not that I mind it... I actually prefer DPP, its just the OP was asking about batching out, so I'm assuming he wants quick turn around on large number with no interaction.)
LR's color shifts my Reds to Orange, and even if I create a preset to counteract that something else tends to be shifted... I definately never do a quick batch there from RAW because every image (or group of images of same subject) need some tweaking just to get decent colors.

Nearly all RAW processing programs have this. It's not only Lightroom. I agree with you davidcrebelxt about the bad colors of ACR as well, get a camera calibration for it.

Or Photoshop Image processor.
I've answered this question four times this week. Maybe we should be pointing people at FAQs instead of constantly repeating ourselves?
I just wrote a FAQ
