USB connection

belongs to my Epson Flatbed Scanner which worked very well last time I used it but now I can't see how to connect it. Am I right in thinking something is wrong here ie the host socket has been lodged into the connection??

Yep. Looks like the top half inside there has broken off and stuck inside.
