New Sprint Instinct

Since I am a captive of Sprint -- due to my full time employment -- I can't "iphone" it. So I picked up a new samsung instinct today.

Impressive. I like what I see thus far!

I've used the original iPhone and while the new one sounds to have improved some issues, it's still probably going to have enough of the flaws from the original that I wouldn't want it (that and I don't want AT&T). I'm interested in what comes of the Google Android project personally, although the Instinct does look to be nice.

My other issue is I want a real slide-out keyboard. Touchscreens are the new bling but the iPhone and the others I've used are no good for anything more than a few quick pecks in my opinion.

Having owned a treo, HPC Apache, and a q, I can tell you that this keyboard works much better, and I have stubby digits. Whether it will hold up to the abuse of a full on "text machine" will be a different story.
