The first decent weather in Auckland in ages, apparently. Got these images of Rangitoto Island from around Auckland's waterfront.

Nice scenery, although my computer screen seems to be showing considerable posterization of the sky in each scene. What camera are you using? (I haven't been to NZ but have spent some weeks in Aussie - fascinating visit)

Bodryn, yeah I see what you mean there about the slightly patchy blue sky. I've posted them as a slighly better jpeg quality and it seems to have made a difference.

GTG,

thanks. Ithink I had the polarizer on at that point in time - probably didn't need it. I liked the effect of the two swimmers looking out to sea. Sometimes timing - and luck - is everything ;)

Nice shots of the Hauraki Gulf.

Were these just taken? Living in Melbourne and currently on holiday here?

Has honestly been an awful December though. The two days after Christmas wasn't too bad. :) Looks like it will be the same for tomorrow.

This was taken just after Christmas, which came as a shock to see a time of non rain.

Just a Sony V1. Just the job for the basics I've been doing, but photography is fun, and I'm looking at getting a Canon 20D in the next 3 months. Just trying to sort out a holiday to Surfers Paradise.

Some nice shots, espcialy since its not the prettiest part of Auckland to view the harbour from.
You've made it look quite exotic :)

Hopefuly this weather will hold for another day or so, and I might be able to get some shots of the harbour, from the harbour :8
