Great pics, Pete! I'll point my footie-mad mates in their direction. I think a lot of Rams fans would love to see these. Just out of curiosity, have you sold any to the Derby Evening Telegraph?

I might have! Shoot for an agency to my pics go to whoever wants them! A few shots from today ought to be in the News of the World tomorrow.

Nice work Pete... I'll keep an eye on the News of the World in the morning! What's the name of the agency? Will you get the byline or will it be credited to their name?
Also, what are the facilities like for transmitting your pics from Pride Park? You must have been on a pretty tight deadline...

Pete,
On an average shoot at a footy game how many shots do you take? How many cards do you fill? and how do you keep track of them?
I am assuming you have to get these shots straight off to the agency so do you upload them onsite or do you have to wait till you get back home/office?
Just wondering how things are done.

On an average match I'll shoot 150 images - 300, it varies depending on how good the game is! On my laptop I'll have a folder set up where I'll transfer all the images off my cards whenever there's a quiet period. I'll also do some rough edits when it's quiet too. You have to wire off the first goal, even if it's in the first minute ASAP.
If not done already, straight after the match you'll sit down, get 20 shots together to be sent off to the agency where they'll then get distributed.

What setup are you using for wiring? I've been using a GRPS system for a while now which is somewhat sluggish... I'd be interested to hear your experiences... or do you get the joys of wi-fi access at Pride Park??!

God knows the technical terms for it, but shove the phone next to the laptop, press a button and then they're away....well when I say away, I mean 5 minutes per shot! lol
Wish there was WiFi access, wanna open up my Powerbook's full capabilities!
