Santa Anita Park is an old Raceplace in Arcadia CA.
Seabiscuit actually raced there and the subsequent movie was also shot here as well, IIRC.
Anyway they have morning practice sessions which allows you to get very close to all the horses warming up for the day and training.
Our group decided to do some panning practice. I haven't done it in a while so it was fun to get back on the saddle again. :)
Anyway, as you can tell exposing for fast moving large dark subjects can be an exposure nightmare but it's always fun to go out and shoot.
