Hi, I've noticed when I have close up or semi close face portraits that when I print them they seem to narrow the face, what was one a nice round looking face gets narrow. I am new to photography, I am using the Rebel XTi and I have the Pixma 9000 Pro printer. Most of the prints I am doing are 8X10 or 13X19. Is this due to the fact that the original image's aspect ratio is 2 to 3 and it is escewing it when printing? What should I be doing to avoid this? Thanks

you'll have to crop the picture to the size paper you are using other wise it squeezes the pic to fit.

Also make sure that any options to maintain aspect ratio are selected.
Some print options will 'fit to paper size' and if the aspect ratio is not maintained, you will end up with a distorted print.

Make sure whatever paper you have selected is also the format selected for the printer.
You can fix that readily in the dialog box easily enough.
