She pulled up after this barrel. If the horse hadn't slipped I have no doubts she would have won - he was giving it his all no doubt!

All very nice. I can't wait for winter here when the events are held during the day. I'm going to post some bull riding from last night in a minute but they aren't this good.

Those are great KitKat! What a capture of that palomino slipping! .. Not what she wanted to happen, but maybe she'll buy it because it's a great shot! Looks like you had a really good day for shooting!! Thanks for sharing those!

I was shooting with my 70-200 2.8 IS. It worked fairly well for the rodeo although at times a longer lens would have been nice. C'est la vie ;) Most were shot through chain link as well.

Are you competing in anything or just coming for a holiday? Stampede in Calgary, all the pancakes and booze you can handle for 10 straight days :cool:

I am affiliated with Browarny Photographics in Calgary. We are the official photographers of all the agricultural events. I come in to do the horse and beef competitions.

Last year was my first Stampede. It's a crazy time!
