Boy was it windy today ? I took Marks (Bandit) advice about where there's spittle there will be Spittle Bugs and went in to my works yard looking for them (No I don't work Sundays). Unfortunately for the bugs the wind had blown nearly all the bubbles away and the poor Spittle Bugs were left hiding under the grass leaf joints, I also managed to find a tiny Bee (ID welcome). Hard to get the shots with the wind, I even resorted to holding a piece of card behind to try and stop the grass/dandelions blowing about too much but wasn't too successful.
Poor little bugger kept getting blown off.

Not a brilliant shot I know; but the tongue of a Bee is pretty small (especially a "small" Bees tongue.)

Peak a boo!

I went to hold the stem of the dandelion and it jumped (not flew) on to my finger so took a few shots.

First homeless Spittle Bug, quite mature I think as the wings look like they are nearly formed.

Second homeless Spittle Bug, younger and less developed.

Third Bug (or could be the first again) spotted this one walking along the small crocodile clip I'd put on to hold back a few dandelion stalks.
