My name is George and I'm from Boston, MA. I'm new to photography, I just got a powershot S5 IS camera the other day as a gift from the missus. I've always been interested in photography and now I get a chance to snap some cool pictures. This is going to be my second expensive hobby as I'm heavily into audio music production.

I'm open to all tips and advice available from members here. Just felt like introducing myself.

Welcome, George! Check out the Boston POTN Meet thread in the Member Activites area. There's a fairly active group in and around Boston that gets together on a fairly regular basis. They're a great group of folks!
