Hi

I've as recent as last Friday dabbled into NR software. I've d/load plugin Neat Image and stand alone Noiseware. I know there are countless of thread as to software preference but this is not the reason for my post, although I've tried NI and Noiseware and can't tell the difference. I think Noiseware is easier..

Anyway, my question is in workflow. If I need to make some adjustments to levels, do I do Levels>Noise Reduction>Sharpen?

Many Thanks
Pat

I would do it the way you stated if you're using an auto or per image noise analysis, that way you can deal with any extra noise due to levels, and I would do noise reduction first, then levels if you noise profiles for your camera.

Yes, but I own Noiseware (and many other add-ins)

Have a look at the sharpening add-in here:
http://www.pixelgenius.com/

Download it, try the 'Sharpen and Smooth' which is specifically designed to both hide noise and sharpen at the same time.

I'm not saying don't get Noiseware, just that if you want to sharpen a photo with high ISO noise, I think PixelGenius does the best job I've seen.
