LR Questions ; imports and viewing photos

These questions are into reference to my screen shots below. I import everything into folders based on year. During 08, i had the the "organize " drop down changed to a different format.

? When I click on the main 2008 folder icon that is shown in the first pic,
shouldn't I be able to see all my thumbs in the viewing area? instead it's only showing one.

? IN the 2nd pic, I've highlighted the sub 2008 folder (as a result of the organize issue above) and when i highlight that, is shows all the pics in that file. can i move those into the main 2008 file with out issue?

There are a couple of things that could be going on here. First, do you have any filters on? I see a purple color label around that ultrasound image. Is your color label flag set to purple by chance? How about your pick flag filter? If not I have another theory, but let's start there first.

You should be able to move the contents of the entire folder without issue. The destination for that folder is something like d:/photos/2008/2008... so when you move it the folder would be d:/photos/2008... Before making the move right click on the second 2008 folder and ask to see it in Explorer. Make sure the folders appear how you want them before moving the files within LR.
