Happy New Year to All !!!

Hi everyone, I'm an old lurker of this forum since getting my first digital the A85, and this is my first posting now. Bought my Rebel about 3 months ago and have been riding the learning curve since.

These are 2 pictures of my granddaughter that I'm emailing to my son who has two more months left in Irak, and in my view they show a great "I'm ok and I love you Daddy" kind of expression, which is what I want my son to feel. But then again, I might be bias about it (I know I am-she is my granddaughter after all) and that is why I will like to hear some of your opinions.

Thanks in advance..

Wow, the color one is fantastic! Expression is perfect - sly, coy, just right. The only thing I would wish for is a little more room on her left. (Photo's right)

As far as the B&W goes, I don't think it is as good as the other. Baby looks fine, but I find this to be a little flat in the contrast department. Blacks could be a little blacker.

Well done and excellent first post.

welcome,:-) #1 is precious very beautiful granddaughter you have there. I'm sure your son will love them. Very nicely done I love the soft look of them. I too think #1 is the best like them both but #1 is just beautiful.
