It rained overnight, and when it stopped, I could not help notice the little bubble of crystal that were glistening on the poinsettias. These were shot with the 28-135, which, at the long end, makes a decent imitation macro. My prefenece is the first one, but I am a very poor judge of my own shots. Any likes, dislikes, thoughts? For those with a background, is that OK?

little bubble of crystal
#3 shows much more what you were trying to capture (the bubble)The mix with the non-red background and the details of the reflection on the bubble, makes it the perfect focal point of the picture. My second choice is #2. On #1 and #4 I find the overall red overpowering the details. Having said that, the colors and tones are just fantastic in all 4 pics.

I like the first, but I like the simplicity of the second and also the angle of the lower leaves of the last one. Nice captures.

to me it seems like you are focusing on the water drops moreso then the actual plant... making me think you should have called this water drop macro's

I like them all, the plant has such great colours, and the droplets look so pure and clean.

The 3rd one better shows what your intent was, I like the light and composition. Good shot !
