Just wanted to post a few shots of what my new softbox and the results I've been getting from a previous post: alienbee B800 (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51658)

My 10D seems like a whole new camera with just one new light!

Follow the link at the top of my original post and it will take you to a post that describes the setup. A soft box is just a big defused light source to give....soft lighting. You'll see what I mean when you follow the link, it makes the light source really big so that there isn't any harsh shadows that fall on the subject.

Thanks, I don't really have the space (or the money for that matter, I keep over extending myself but my kids are growing up to darn fast, infact I was going to wait till I could buy a few lights but decided to just try to experiement with just one and I'm glad I did). I have like a 10x10 sqft spot and I usually can't get back too far. But, with this powerful light, I can get closer and increase the DOF to F11 or even higher so it works out.
