This is my first post. I used my 10D, with the Can17-40mm.
This is my niece.... I enjoy the challenge of shooting dark people - and converting to BW with good contrast without losing their facial features... let me know what you think! Cheers;)

I don't like her leg coming up behind her just like that though

I like it a lot, beautiful girl. Just the bright spots in the back that are a little distracting, other wise very nice indeed.

A great shot of a beautiful girl; Her leg in the frame doesn't bother me at all. The lack of depth of field takes care of that and it tells me more about the pose. Well done!

I really like this photo. You have a good range of tones and contrast as you say. What technique do you use to convert to black and white?

I love it!
There is really something about Black subjects that with the proper lighting, can make amazing black and white photography. More so then any other ethnicity.
She's cute!

This might be you're first post but it's not you're first shot.
You know exactly what you're doing.
This is a great shot although I tend to agree with Marie on the leg. Also the hair might be a bit distracting to the left.
But the above is just nit picking, it's a great shot.

Dor, very nice photo. You should get rid of the spot on the forehead.
Oh yeah, and you're hot.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful girl. Those eyes! :) The only thing I'd suggest is cloning out the small light spot/blemish high on her forehead.
