My first ever visit to a hillclimb and I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed it. It made a refreshing change to see such a diversity of machinery over the ranges - I can't wait for next year!

Nice shots. I like the one of the Escort with the front wheel airborne.

Rhodri my man, some stunners there mate, really good ,right back on form !
The last two Escort shots are really on tne money, terrific action.
The green Nova is very differant, and works really well for me.
And the Merlin looks good.
The reflections of the windscreens is a nuisanse, that probably needs a polarising filter to sort out.
Otherwise a great set ,Well done.

Chris, I also picked up on this; what confused me is that I was using a polarising filter!

Thanks Pete, I've just noticed that the Nova shot does look a bit "noisy" on here. I had to fiddle with it a bit in Photoshop as it was underexposed - I rushed the shot as it was a spur of the moment thing.
Thanks for the comments chaps.

3, 6, and 7 are definitely my favorites. Great captures and awesome timing!

Rhodri,
Re underexposed Nova, was that because you were exposed for it coming on to you and turned on it upwards. The sky did not throw it out like I expected it would.I like the shutter speeds you used.
Pete has a good point re ISO,as there is noise evident on some, what were you on ?

Great photos. Nice to see some interesting old rally cars.
There is that POO 504R again. Last time it was doing a rally in Wales - http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=497622&highlight=504R

And that old campaigner Terry Brown,in HOD 500 N.
They are both locals to Epynt Ranges.

Chris, I spent the majority of the day between 100-200 ISO depending on whether the sun was out or cloud cover.

Fair dos Rhodri, though you might have benefited from 400 iso or more at times, looking at the exposure, possibly.

Thanks Nick. The stage started down at Fourways Bridge, running up the steep hill to the start of Burma Road. Around a mile and a half I'd say.

Hi there,
Great pics, don't suppose anyone has any shot of me in my black Beemer car 57, it was my first hillclimb, just getting used to the car.
Cheers

Really good shots. Love them all. Nothing better than seeing a classic with it's tail wagging and you captured them all well.

Thanks Nick, I must admit to having a major bias towards Mk2 Escorts; they're always the most entertaining to watch and as a result seem to produce the best shots (in my eyes at least).
Thanks again for all the nice comments, it's encouraging after the disaster I had on the Severn Valley!
