Finally, this is the first time shooting motorcycles! C and C please. I wish I had more than 400mm of lens.

I like the composition of 2 and 5 the most. The photos are pretty sharp, are you using the 70-200mm with the 2x teleconverter? I've been contemplating whether or not I should purchase one or go with the 1.4x since it supposedly produces a sharper image.

Great shots for first time out! I also recently tried shooting MC's for the first time and it ain't easy ;) I was using the same lens combo as you (70-200 f/2.8L IS + 2x) for the first time on my XTi. I would say a little tighter crop on the last 3-4 to better center the attention on the rider. A little too much dead space for my tastes. Anything from the corkscrew? Look forward to seeing more!

I went with the 2X for the track and airshows. The only complaint that I have with the 2X TC is that I can only use centerpoint focuss. It works well in most situations but sometimes when the lighting isn't that great its less than ideal.

The 100-400 is much much sharper than the 70-200 with TC.

Hope that helps.
