Anyone else having issues adding smilies by clicking them (from the right) when replying or creating a message? Is this a Firefox 3 issue or am I missing something?

Let me try, and find out... :):D:p;):cool:
Looks like it works for me. Try clearing your cache.

Or just learn the text for them and type them in. Far easier.. :p

That's what I do. I even know the full path to several of my favorite personal ones stored on my web site and can type the whole thing out in a second or two.

Lonnie it is sad that you know that, but even worse that you admit it. :p

So the question is did you enter those above by clicking them or by typing them in?

I was skeptical about the cache clearing, but that seemed to do it.
Any idea why?

For the test, I clicked on them. Probably the first time I've ever actually done that here at POTN...

When the cache gets too full, the browser gets confused and things stop working. Clearing the cache fixes probably 90% of browser related problems. If that didn't work, my next suggestion would have been to shut the browser down and restart it. If that also failed to work, suggestion #3 would be to reboot your computer.
If all three of those fail to fix a malfunctioning browser, then you have a problem... ;)

Interesting that the first time I've seen this problem is since installing Firefox 3. :)

That's pretty fast for a cache to get too full. Maybe you should increase the size a bit.
Or, better yet, set the size to 0Mb. That's what I always do. I never have to clear it because it's always empty. With broadband connections, the cache is really kind of useless anyway.

And just to add a bit to the scenario....it was actually doing this to me on two different computers. This one (work) that I'm on now as well as my home computer (which I'll check when I get home this afternoon). I think that it's related to the upgrade somehow.
