Hi Guys and Gals

I bought a Rebel from USA when ther on holiday. I live in the UK. The camera was supplied with a two pin plug/charger from the USA and also a three pin adapter for use in the UK. However when I charge the battery(an original canon battery BP-511)but no matter how much i charge it, it just comes up with battery indicator on the camera as half-full!! This is spite of the charger showing that its fully charged?! Is the problem my battery or charger and where can i get replacements?
Please help, Im going on holiday few days!

Try a Google search for your battery and charger.

Check the charger; Canon's are all 100-240V capable. If yours isn't Canon, it may be 110V only. Also, did you get an adapter that just makes the plug fit, or a converter that changes the voltage. With the Canon charger you only need an adapter; the wrong kind of charger may actually cause problems.

I just noticed. You said a Rebel, and BP-511. Chances are, then, that the battery's worn out and it's time for a new battery. It's the same one the 30D and 40D use. Don't get the battery for the 350D, 400D or 450D. They're different.

Look on sterlingtek.com for your battery and buy two or three.
This is the charger that says it works with 110 or 220
