Anyone know how I did this...

For the life of me I cannot remember how I increased the canvas size of the background layer before applying the blur. I am trying to do this to another image, but when I try to increase the image size, I just get a white border around the image.

I know I increased the size of the image, blurred it, then opened the image up again and copied and pasted it to the first.

If anyone can help me, I would surely appreciate it. Hopefully the image attaches correctly - my first time posting an image. Also, I use photoshop cs.

Not sure how you did it, but that is a neat effect. :)

One way to do it:

1. Open image
2. Select all and copy
3. Increase image size
4. Blur image
5. Edit paste the previously copied image.
6. Apply layer style to copied image for border and drop shadow

[Oops, I guess I answered more than your question. Increase the image size with Image > Image Size instead of Image > Canvas size. :)]
