I love getting the cute shots of the kids! Let me know your input! Good or bad, I can take it!! Keep in mind... I'm not a paid photographer... YET!

IMO the first shot is very snap shot ish. The selective coloring does not work for me...ever. The other photos look pretty sharp, but there is not much to them. I am not sure what we can really say.

Have fun and keep shooting. Thanks for posting!

I think you have some great beginner shots here. you have great use of flash in a few, but I would start making myself aware of what's behind the subjects you are shooting. there are a few where there's something growing out of a boy's head "building" or something distracting here and there. These are all things that a year or less of constant shooting you'll learn to stay away from. I think you're on the right track, keep shooting :D you have some great shots here :)

When ever you are out and about, and you see kids you would like to shot, look around for the best place to use as a background and how would you pose them...Just practice looking around. When it comes time to take a shot in the future, you will be better prepared, faster, smarter!.......(I need to learn to take my own advice.....)

I think the families of these kids will enjoy your images!!!!

You're doing fine with what you have but don't always use small apertures; blurry backgrounds are less distracting, and whenever possible it's good to limit the distractions and keep the number of focal points to 1.

Obviously you enjoy photography, so learn more about composition and see what other equipment might be useful. That's the journey I'm on, and it gets very expensive.

Love #4! I agree with Mckc on the selective colouring though.

Thanks guys! Yea, these were shot 6 months ago, and I've learned alot about backrounds since then.... Too bad cuz these were the most photogenic kids that I have come across. Thanks for the tips!
