With luck the image is showing:

Does anybody recognize this fine and distinguished gentleman who has, not once, but twice paid for my lunch at his insistance.

http://www.longwatcher.com/images/Belmondo.JPG (http://www.longwatcher.com/images/Belmondo.JPG)

My new toy just happened to be pointed in his direction and apparently I took a picture as I found it when I was checking over my christmas images. I also freely admit that it is a touch over sharpened due to my not paying attention.

I guess the name of the image gives it away...............:D
Belmondo, you should try to make your mustache of the handlebar type, like the classic cars guy with the funny hat. Oh what I would pay to see that.

I hope every gets the significance that this photo was taken in an outdoor cafe just a day or two before Christmas.

A good time was had by all..........

Thanks, Tim.

I've only seen his image on the internet. Perhaps he's one of those computer icons like "Tourist Guy". Y'all remember him, right?

So that explains why everytime he comes thru Indy we don't get together. His wife knows he is a compulsive lunch buyer!!!!

Pekka, Thank you for fixing the image link, I used to know how to do it correctly, but haven't posted one in a while since the vast majority of pictures I take are of very lovely ladies with usually few to no clothing on, except perhaps a bit of jewelry. :)

Longwatcher, I'll be HAPPY to teach you how to post those photos....

Agreed,

I think it is in this forums best interest that we make sure LongWatcher knows precisely how to post an image in a thread for us..

or a link..

//CDS now feels he knows just what it is that he is watching for so long

He tried to talk me into it, and I refused. I guess that's why I was looking a little grouchy. (That, coupled with the fact that I don't have a 1Ds MkII).

BTW, I would like to know just how many forum members have had their pictures taken with a 1DS MkII and had them posted here?

Neener neener.:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p: p

Two days before Christmas, palm plants in the background, short sleeved sunglass shirt (probably wearing short pants too) distinct lack of snow. I wanna move!
Two days before Christmas I looked like Nanook of the North and I sure as heck wasn't sitting under a palm tree looking at a lunch menu. More like chipping ice wering 12 layers of insulated longjohns and a parka complete with idiot strings on my mittens:):):):):):):):).
Picture taken with a 1DsMKII? Nope, ain't even seen one up here yet. How about a picture taken with a 10D holding a 1DMKII with a 500 prime? That count for anything?:):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Yikes, outside eating lunch 2 days before Christmas, nothing like rubbing it in   Got at least 4 months before I even thinking about doing that. :( I wouldn't do it now if the guy did have the 1Ds MkII brrrrrrrr. Great shot of a truly fine and distinguished looking gentleman.

Man, you just gave away his secret. He wanted to hang around here incognito so that he would get bugged by all those autograph hounds out there.  \

But now that the cats out of the bag...hey, Mr. Wilfred, can I have your autograph and can you make one for my little pet cockatiel, too, while you're at it. He just loves watching all your old movies.

It looks more like a statue I saw at the Coachella Valley Museum one time. I'm not sure who the sculptor was.

what a way to start a new story,

"If you saw someone running down the street carrying a huge metal chimpanzee on Wednesday, the police would like to hear from you"

You can almost image someone running down a street wearing a single white glove with a brass monkey

Ummmm. Let's try to come up with a better phrase than 'Dead Ringer.' At my age, that becoms an all-too-real possibility.

(especially after I found out what my blood pressure has been doing since I last checked it about a year ago.):cry:
