I was trying to convey the atmosphere in this basement resturant...

I get no clues that it is a basement or a restaurant. Maybe I would if it was larger.

For me it's hard to figure out what the point of the photo is. The girls to the left, whith one blurred out? The long hallway into the more lighted area? The whatever all the stuff is off to the left? IMO there is way too much clutter in the foreground that says nothing. Zooming more into what looks like the center of activity area down the hall might be more of the lines what you're looking for. You also have incandescent and fluorescent lighting which throws your WB in several directions.

That's what I like most about this image. It is a neat effect.

The idea was to give your eyes something to explore around the whole frame, different lighting, different textures. While I was sitting there eating, my eyes wandered around and saw all those different aspects and that's what I was tring to covey in the picture. Not a particular person or object. I want you to feel like you are in that space.

I'm glad you like it.
I'm still trying to get to grips with capturing differnt light sources. I've had the tripod out tonight...

Just doesn't do it for me. However, that #2 shot is pretty neat.
