I did not get too much of a response to my first post of the guitarist (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52426) from the New Years Eve concert, so I will try a couple more. These were shot, of course, in the red spotlight. Shutter speed was 1/10 second. There were not a lot where his movement was little enough to get a useable shot. Again, the effort is for the feel of the performance. Am I on or off?

I guess for me, photos like this have more impact if I know the band. Without that knowledge, they are just photos of a guy with a guitar.

Rad,
I really like no.1 but I'd think about a much harder crop, maybe losing at least an inch from left and right. The photograph is full of atmosphere, and reminds me of Bruce Springsteen (who is one of my favorites). Have you tried losing the microphone too, it's (a little) distracting. Great photo.

Martin.

I think the problem with these for me is that they don't stimulate me enough in either subject matter or in technical brilliance, which is what I need. One or the other. Either, hey great subject, or wow How did he do that. Sorry.
