Lightroom 2 beta ---> retail

hey.

i wanted to start working on Lightroom 2 beta, will the libraries be exportable to the retail version when it comes out?

Have adobe announced whether you'll be able to?

I bet they will. What would be the point if they made everybody start over (unless they want to create frustration and overload their already high activity forums). The only reason you can't use them now I think is because they don't want to create problems with beta software. They might be compatible or you will probably convert them to v2 format.

Then again: Adobe says it might not be the case for local corrections...
From the release notes: "Develop settings applied in Lightroom 2.0 beta are not guaranteed to transfer correctly to the final version of 2.0. This is particularly true for localized corrections."

Has adobe fixed the export as a PDF problem with the beta yet?

There are no guarantees, but it is likely that the beta libraries will upgrade just fine. That said, as Rene mentioned, the effect of some sliders will change.
