Hi,

I have tried everything but I can't find to adjust the shutterspeed on my S330??? Where do I do this or how is this done?

S330 has shutter speed from 1/1500 - 15sec.
Slot shutter speed is possible from 1 - 15 sec but where do I set it for speeds below 1 sec?

Thanx,

Raptor

Hello!

I have a Ixus V2 and I believe that the functionalities are the same! Both machines don't have that option.

Some machines have "shutter speed priority" and "apperture priority" but not mine!

I would like to add those functionalities through a "firmware update" but... I will keep on dreaming!

Bye!!!!!

So I assume that the fastest shutter speed without flash is in AUTO mode?

Hi!

To force the camera to use a higher shutter speed you should use the manual ISO settings. As you choose a higher ISO setting, less time the pictures are exposed, the more noisy the pictures gets! But this setting influences directly the sutther speed settings.

The best way is to undestand is to try different settings and take pictures checking the result.

You can see the following site or search by "ISO shutter speed" on the web to get more information.

Bye.

You can adjust the shutter speed down to 15 sec. (long shutter mode) and it's true.
How?
First the Long Shutter mode must be on, this can be done via Menu. After that, turn the shooting mode to M (MAnual) and press the WB (white balance) once and press the spot AE button once. That's it. As soon as the shutter speed on, you can change or chose from 1" to 15" by pressing the Self-timer/continuous button.
If you try to shoot with the lowest shutter speed please use tripod otherwise you will be dissappointed with the result. BLURR!!!
To go back to auto just press the Macro/Infinity button.
If you don't know what the buttons mentioned above or where are the buttons just go to http://www.canon.co.jp/Imaging/PSS330/PSS330_144-e.html
