Had time to set up a couple of strobes, but did not get the entire arena. The bareback took place while it was still light enough to get decent shots. This is my favorite although the focus is a little soft. Time to upgrade the 10d I think. This cowboy stayed on and ended up taking second place.

I had my strobe for the barrel racing set a little low because of the constraints of the arena. Needed it up about 15 feet or so to keep from getting the demon eyes.

Wow, nice action on that first one! How those guys stay on them when they start twisting like that is beyond me!

Dale - I still like the 10d, but it has already been refurbished once and I am thinking an upgrade would be more worthwhile.

I don't know what I did to not get the focus right, but it cost me. One of the riders friends wanted a huge poster made of it and I had to tell her that with the soft focus it wouldn't be very good.
