Now that it's coming towards the end of the holiday, and my free time will be minimised...i thought i'd share a couple more pics that i've taken...
I took a wander around the houses, looking for inspiration to hit me, when i noticed that this wee guy was being inquisitive about what i was doing... well at least until he realised i was interested in what he was doing, and as i got more pics the more unsure he looked, and eventually he took off through the trees.
The second shot was taken from my computer desk... these guys often land in the tree outside, but by the time i've seen them, and got my camera trained on them, they take off through the houses.
The 75-300mm lens that i've taken both these shots, have, as is well documented "poor" performance compared to some of the other canon lenses out there... but as an introduction to the SLR world, i find it difficult to justify spending much more money. Now that i've realised i need a lot of light for htis lens, i think i've captured a few interesting shots, albiet with a little fringing going on at the high contrast areas.
