some friends i do video work and i have just setup a studio...its main purpose is green screen use but we got a white backdrop for it as well just so I could "try" photography with our lighting gear...

no strobes or flash were used...just a softbox, hairlight and reflector

let me know what you think

the "model" are just friends who were around and kind enough to step in front of the camera for a few...i didnt worry about poses or moving them around...just wanted to work on the lighting, which i can tell is getting close but still needs work

very nice. The lighting on their faces looks quite natural which I like.

thanks...I tried a few with the built in flash on the 20d, since I dont have a strobe or an external for use as a fill flash for extra shadows...they looks very unnatural and I immediateley put it back down.

I think they're all suffering, just a touch from shadows under the eyes. Which is a little unflattering. Especially on the pretty lady. Looks like heavy bags.

If she doesn't mind, maybe get rid of the forehead imperfection.
