10D just acquired. First decent Digital for me.

Keen to work in RAW, but no RAW processing application software has installed from the CD. Been to Canon to download Digital Photo Professional Updater for Windows, but file (k4b0benx.exe) is not downloadable.

Help appreciated. Can someone email me the file.

I think it's quite large to be e-mailed.
Try some other camera's download page. I was looking for DPP and it was in front of my eyes and I missed it.

Luke,

Forget the Canon software - download the trial of C1 DSLR and use that - it's far superior!

Here's my review:

yes, yes it is. I use C1 pro, and it's my favorite. Only if those lazy @sses at phase one would get to work and finish C1 v3.6 so I can finally start fully utilizing my 20D :)

Luke,

The 10D should come with Zoombrowser/File Viewer utility, which is a RAW processing app as well. If you have a CD that came with the 10D then you do have a RAW converter.

No,.. it's not the best,. but it does work.

DPP is also a good app,..

...... but I don't think DPP works with 10D RAW files ....

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Breezebrowser will work with 10D files for RAW conversion, too.

Your wrong.... :)

I have both 10D and 1DsMkII, Canon's DPP works great with both (as well as D60). For some reason actually does better job of color correction then PS CS does with 10D .CRW images.

If I don't need to do anything but color correct, crop and convert it seems to actually be faster for me then PS CS was for me to use, now that I have it figured out. It is when I have to fix skin blimishes or dust specks that I need PS.
