I like the look (from website photos/descriptions) of the Zing soft Neoprene SLR covers and have in mind buying one for my EOS300D/Digital Rebel - size needed appears to be 'Large SLR Cover'.

I'll be interested to hear from anyone who owns one and to hear their opinion of it.

I just purchased one for my 10D -- large size. I'll use it in a messenger bag I'm converting to photo bag -- less conspicuous than regular camera bags. The Zing is good but you'll still want to be careful; they're not nearly as padded as a well-padded camera bag.

GregThanks for your reply and information Greg: I appreciate that the protection to the camera will be limited by the Zing thickness, but I also have the ever ready case for my 300D/Digital Rebel. When I'm 'out and about'I'll use the erc, but I find that when the camera is in use at home the erc is a rather awkward form of protection: when I take some indoor shots, then extract the CF Card to view the images on the computer, this entails completely 'dismantling' the erc including removing the base section. This doesn't sound much to get bothered about but I find it a bit tedious and I think that the Zing will give adequate protection at home (and all sorts of mishaps can happen there!) whilst being easy to remove fairly frequently.

Strangely, only one dealer in the UK (Speed Graphic) seem to offer the Zing and but for seeing their catalogue I wouldn't have known it existed!

Thanks again -

Denis
