Help i am looking to spend around 100-150 for a good lightweight monopod. dont need a headon it, just has to have a shaft that doesnt stick, must be twist lock and lightweight

help...

If you don't like the lever lock of Manfrotto I would wait for a Gitzo to show up used on one of the sell boards. Or save a bit more and pick up the new G-Lock model... not sure I'd mess with any other kind of twist locks once I used those.

Or go for an aluminum or basalt Gitzo... they aren't that heavy since it is only one leg and no head and that way you get the best locks.

check out Feisol's monopods. I picked up a tripod from them a few months ago and it is put together quite well. They have two models, 3 or 4 sections, both in carbon fiber and are within your stated budget or under.
