im at B&H's website about to purchase the 70-200 f4 and i see that there's an import and a US model... whats the difference besides price?

also any of you guys know where i can purchase used lenses besides ebay and the forum's marketplace section?

The difference in price is due primarily to whether you're getting a USA warranty (assuming you're buying inside the US)-- there is a cost to the warranty. I don't believe there are other differences...but if I'm wrong, hopefully someone will correct me.

The USA models come with a Canon USA warranty. If they malfunction or are found to be defective within a year, you send them to Canon for repair under warranty. The "gray" models do not come with a Canon USA warranty. If they malfunction or are found to be defective, in the case of B&H, you would have to send them back to B&H for warranty repairs.

Grey market Camera Equip (http://www.canon.co.in/consumables/genuine1.asp)

B&H sells used lenses. And Google (Used Camera Lenses) comes up with a ton of places.

In addition to the price and warranty difference, I believe there is no rebate opportunity on the import lenses, but haven't paid attention lately.
