My prints are extremely dark. I have calibrated my monitor. I'm using lightroom, I've tried to have lightroom manage colors, I've tried to have the printer manage colors. I've used Epson's "vivid" settings (I'm using a Styuls R260). Can anyone help?

Hi, have you searched the forum? Other people have mentioned this too.

What device have you used to calibrate your monitor? Are you certain you're using the best available printing profile for your paper/printer combination?

I'm using spyder2express. The paper I'm using is Ilford Galerie, I'm following their instructions for the profile.

Do you have any other colour-managed software that you can try printing from?

I have photoshop elements, but I have the same problem. Could it be time for a new printer?

Is there a printer profile for the Epson printer that you can apply to the image?

Are you sure you're not double managing the colors? (both software and printer driver)
Also: What OS and what versions of the software?

I hope you don't mean "assign" when you say "apply"
In LR you cannot convert profiles, or do softproofing.
Not too sure about elements, but I think color space conversions and softproofing are not possible there either.
Also, it should not be needed / wise, provided the printing is done right through LR / Elements.
There's a few links in the link from my sig about printing with .icc profiles.
