went back the elementis today. explored a lot more and found that the place is huge! there are still halls we didnt go down yet, and the dark places, forget it! ahaha. everything is built around a big garden atrium in the center. we even explored the boiler room. we found a appointment book and the date was july 16th 1974. CC appreciated!

ahh i knoow, it was so weird. about 3 feet out of that frame were 2 marble shower stalls. they were probably the most preserved thing in that entire facility.
thanks for the compliment!

Nice find! I'd love to explore something like that. It's always fascinated me that places like that can just be... abandoned. The disarray in the first picture makes me wonder if that's how it was left, or if vandals have been in there. You captured the eerie mood well.

im pretty sure it was vandals, especially since its been abandoned for over 30 years. it was weird because we found alot of stuff had been moved since we'd been there less than 2 weeks ago, it kind of freaked us out. in the corridor near the boiler room a giant rusty filing cabinet and desk were moved to the middle of it. it would have taken 2 people at least to move such big objects. very strange.

yeaaa appearently it was abandoned because of a leak or something, they used to produce Chromate and Chromium. not sure how hazardous that is, but there is a lot of asbestos hanging from the sealing. i know its not the best place to be, but who can pass up getting some good shots?!

Asbestos is only dangerous if you ingest the particles, and short term exposure probably doesn't pose a threat. I know Chromium is very dangerous, but don't know anything more than that about it.
