Looks like you've got the basic idea, just need closer attention to your straight lines. I find it's helpful to adjust the size of the tool to suit the piece of the image I'm working with at the time - use a fairly small one for straight lines and edges. Also you'll need to constantly 're-pick' the section it's cloning from to make sure you're matching colours etc. Be sure to zoom out a bit to check your work.

just need closer attention to your straight lines. For instance, the chrome strips: If you select the area to clone to & clone within that selection, it works fairly well. Try using the Polygonal Lasso Tool for that. It will even work for curves:

Could you expand on that a little please Frank?

There is a way to clone and keep the perspective i read about it in one of scott kelby's books that way you can easily clone the area without worrying about what the lines of the car are doing.

My suggestion is don't worry about cloning, park the truck where there is no pole!!:)

Well, I'm pretty bored right now so I thought I'd give the photoshopping a go if you don't mind. Just a semi-quick go at it... could probably do better if i spent some more time with it but just to give you an idea of how it could look. I did what Frank suggested and used the polygonal lasso tool to box off areas with similar detail and varied my clone brush size as needed:

Not sure - I think I understand. Will give it a go and get back to you if it's not what I think it is.
