Slide duplicater, copier, for 20D ??

Can I get a slide duplicater for the 20D to copy several older (mostly KM-25) slides, and if so, would it have the 1.6 crop factor??... Also would it do as good as a say $200 flat bed film scanner?? Don't want to spend $500 for a good film scanner if I can help it....Thanks and have a good one...Tater...

Do a search for 'duplicator' and you will find a message I posted on 8/22/2004, regarding how to modify a slide duplicator to work with our APS size sensor (1.6x) cameras. I carried the mod further by making a spacer for the internal lens although I am not sure it was necessary.
I have built two of these (an associate also built one) and they work much better than a flat bed scanner, almost as well as a film scanner (but a lot less costly and much faster).
