Private Message Notification Pop-up not working?

I have checked the ‘Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up’ box on my preferences, and it worked before.

I received a very important message two days ago and the notification was not triggered.

Is it an issue with the forum engine?
Is there any new IE7 security update (again) blocking the notification?

I will check My IE7 security settings again, but I wish to know if there is somebody else here with the same issue. Thanks

Yes, the tab blink and pop-up message alerted me of your PM.
PM notification is working now.

you know i'm having that issue too. and i didn't do anything to change it. was working fine before.

What browser, and have you cleared your cache?

i'm using internet explorer and how do i clear my cache. never done it.

In IE6 it's Tools| Internet Options | General |Temporary Files Delete Files.
