The ED asked me to go shoot this local kid during a skate contest and this is what I came out with.

I've tried some basic skate shots before with the 200 2.8, but that was only because no one would let me get closer. I don't have a good wide angle, just the kit lens, so I did what I could with what I have.

Looking for suggestions on what I can change to get a better shot next time. I don't think these are bad shots, but I know these could be better and I see lots of great skate shots on these boards.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I like the second better, first is underexposed.

Can't really see the obstacle on #1, #2 is good. Comp could be a bit looser. For grab tricks, try to time it so that you can get it at the peak when the subject's hand is gripping the board. Remember to keep your horizons level. Not bad though!
