I haven't ... but if you're going to make the investment you're better off buying PS Elements 3.0 (PS Album is built in to this Elements version).

I wonder whether Adobe intends to support Album long-term since the features have been integrated into the latest version of Elements - 3.0. I purchased Elements 3.0 and have been very happy with the integrated Editor and Organizer. I would recommend this route to get the Organizer and you also get a first-rate Editor with most of the functions of full-blown Photoshop!!
As a stand-alone I preferred ACDSee 7 to Album based on features and useability. You can download free trials of both and decide which you like better. Good luck!

I used version 1, version 2 but I would highly recommend Photoshop Elements 3 which contains both Elements and Album. There are a lot of improvements over earlier version of Album. I cannot recommend highly enough. I have tried trial version of most organizers but once you get the idea of this one it is superb.
Have a look on Adobe web-site for screenshots and features. I wouldn't waste money on earlier version of Album - it was good but it looks like Adobe have cracked most of its weaknesses. You can download trial version if you are patient.
One critisism is that is quite slow to launch.

Are the Photoshop Album features in PS Elements 3.0 also useful for organizing RAW images? I've tried a trial version of Photoshop Album a few months ago, but it didn't support RAW images so it wasn't very useful for me.

Elements 3 definitely supports RAW files in both editor and organizer. I'm pretty sure Album 2 supports as well.
