Hi all,

I'm looking to start my strobist journey and my main use will be @ home, family portraits and photographing my baby girl.

I found this set (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/425220-REG/Impact_DFUMK_Digital_Flash_Umbrella_Mount.html), which is getting some good reviews on B&H, but was wondering about the umbrellas size. Is 32" enough for this type of photography? I've read somewhere that 32" may be a bit too small for nice even, and wide light distribution...

Thoughts?

TIA :)

Size is relative - what matters is the _apparent_ size of the light source, which varies with distance from the subject. If you get it in close 32" might be big enough, but brollies are cheap anyway - why not get some of each?
