Thanks!

Yeah, I still use that camera too although I didn't really get excited about photography untill I bought my digital camera (Powershot S1).

Nice. My first camera was an old rectangular Kodak 110 camera. It had an onboard flash!(big technology for the time) I then got an Canon Sureshot OWL 35mm, moved to a Kodak Advantix Zoom p+s, then bought my first real camera shown below. I still use it, but am thinking about an Elan or maybe EOS 3 to replace it. Finally, I have my 300D that gets the most use now.

Mine looked something like this:

And if I can dig it out of the closet, I'll take a picture of my camera instead of stealing someone else's picture off the web.

My first (and only camera worth mentioning) was a Rebel G from the first or 2nd year it came out...
Only lens I have for it specifically until I got the 300D was the kit lens... now I have an older (and cheap) Canon 70-210/4 (I know, low ratings and all, but I got it used, its all I can afford, and its doing a decent job for now).

Thats where I "Learned" photography (at least the technical aspect of it)...

much easier on the 300D, though... instant feedback :D

I don't know what model it is gramps.

Hey, flyfishnj, I just got one of those Pentax K1000's from belmondo a couple weeks ago. I'm going to run some infrared film through it next week in Laughlin, NV.

I had a Brownie Hawkeye, too. That was back in 1969 and I used to make believe it was a spaceship, like on Star Trek. My first real camera was a Canon AE-1. I have two Pentax K-1000's, a Canon Rebel G, and a 300D. I love my 300D.

Here was my very first camera. It was an old Nikon FM the same age as me, built in 1975. Unfortunately, the camera was in better shape than me. Anyway, I had a Nikor 36-72mm Series E lens and a 80-200 ED f/2.8 lens along with a Vivitar 285 flash.

After that, I had a Fuji FinePix 1400 digital P & S, an Olympus C-3020 digital P & S, a Nikon CoolPix 990 with Macro Ringlight and SB-22s flash, and now the wonderful 10D. All of this took place within 3 years and 11 months of working at my current job. BTW, the two shots above were taken with the Fuji.
