so I went out to pratice before going to the Giants/A's game tomorrow with the advice I was given on my first set of baseball pics. I upped the shutter speed and was pretty happy given the overcast day. I think these are better as I got the ball action stopped pretty well and hopefully tomorrow pics will be even
better.


These were all taken with the Canon 70-300.

From the EXIF I can see these were taken at f/8. Given how distracting the background is here, I'd shoot wide open at 5.6 or 4, depending on your FL. That way, you can reduce your ISO as well to get less noise.
