Taken at the San Antonio Zoo. The strange lines in the blurred background are common in results from this lens. I left the IS on even though the lens was on a stable monopod. I think it's this IS that causes the lines. Any thoughts on this? Canon 300 f/4 L IS. 10D

It is really good. I might kick up the exposure just a tad but it is good as it is.

Wow! That's truly awesome! Very nicely done, especially with the way how the background is. Good job! :D
Personally, I think the exposure is just perfect.

BTW, regarding the bokeh of the IS lens, i notice this happening to a many IS lenses and it can happen whether the IS is turned on or off. I've noticed it with one of my own IS lens, too. It doesn't happen all the time, though. I can't explain why or how this happens but I would like to know myself.

Great shot. They are hard to catch at the best of times. I'll agree with Leo on the bokeh. I have had this on many of my lenses as well.
